Hi there!

For someone like myself who suffers from anxiety and depression, it’s really easy to lose sight of giving yourself some self-care.  You tend to stop focusing on yourself and it just feels awful to do so.  You start feeling down, you lose motivation, and you just don’t feel yourself.  I’ve learned and become to know to start thinking about myself a bit more and to take care of myself more as well.

Take a look at my list of absolutely free things (because you know, I’m broke) you can do for yourself that will aid in your self-care journey!

  1. Take a long hot bath
  2. Compliment yourself
  3. Go for a walk (Fresh air does the body good)
  4. Meditate – self-guide or app
  5. Journal – (Check out my 90 Second Journal)
  6. Drink more water (Hydrate!)
  7. Go to bed at a reasonable time and get a proper 8 hours of sleep
  8. Volunteer
  9. Hug a close friend (Hugging releases endorphins!)
  10. Read a book
  11. Try something new
  12. Ask for help
  13. Take a technology break
  14. Make your bed (This is known to make sure you have a fresh start to your day)
  15. Re-organize a room in your house
  16. Make/eat a healthy meal
  17. Read inspirational quotes (Check out my affirmation list!)
  18. Listen to uplifting/upbeat music
  19. Make a playlist of your favorite songs
  20. Give yourself a break
  21. Say ‘no’ to something
  22. Declutter an area of your home
  23. Take yourself out on a date
  24. Donate things you don’t need
  25. Have dessert
  26. Grab coffee with a close friend
  27. Watch funny videos online
  28. Tell someone you appreciate them
  29. Stretch/practice yoga
  30. Create a daily self-care routine, or implement self-care into your daily routine
